Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-28
This policy describes what data Critical Care Daily (“the app,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
When you sign up, we store your email address, a hashed version of your password (never the plaintext), and your local time zone. Optionally, you may add a display name and an institution. As you use the app we record your daily answers, comments, ratings, favorites, blocks of other users, and badge progress.
What we don't collect
We do not run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the mobile app today. We do not collect device location, contacts, or health data, and we do not integrate with HealthKit.
How we use it
Account data lets you sign in across devices. Your answers power your streaks, badges, leaderboard standing, and history. Comments you post on a question are visible to other users who have answered the same question, scoped either globally or to your institution if you set one.
Service providers
Data is processed by a small set of providers who are bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
- Vercel — application hosting and serverless logs.
- Neon — managed Postgres database.
- Ably — realtime fan-out for live comment updates.
- Apple — App Store distribution and push notifications via APNs.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. See delete account for how to request deletion.
Children
Critical Care Daily is intended for clinicians and is not directed at people under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time. Email khaled.fernainy@gmail.com from the address on your account.
Changes
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in the app the next time you sign in.
