By creating an account or using Critical Care Daily (“the app”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Eligibility
The app is intended for clinicians and adult learners. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape or bulk-export content, attempt to defeat rate limits, post abusive or harassing comments, impersonate other users, or use the app in any way that violates law.
User-generated content
When you post a comment, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and moderate that content for the purpose of operating the app. We may remove or hide any content for any reason and at any time. You are responsible for your own content.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. To view, modify, or cancel a subscription, open Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Refunds are administered by Apple under their standard policies.
No medical advice
The app provides educational content for trained clinicians. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any individual patient. You must not rely on the app to make patient-care decisions. Always exercise independent clinical judgment and follow your institution's protocols and applicable standards of care.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer, its contributors, and their affiliates from any claim, demand, liability, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the app, your reliance on its content for clinical decisions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you cease. See the privacy policy for how we handle your data after termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_LAW_JURISDICTION}}, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
